Winners of the V International Festival-Competition "Art-Parade in Vitebsk" have been announced, reports BELTA correspondent.

Representatives from 16 countries competed in vocal and dance arts. Their performances were evaluated by a competent jury, which included cultural figures from Belarus, Russia, Latvia, China, Armenia, Kazakhstan, and other states.

Twenty contenders for the main prize competed in the final of the competition, of whom only three represented the choreography nomination. Artists from Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan, China, and Armenia illuminated the Vitebsk stage with their talents. Belarusian flavour and Eastern grace, powerful voices and soulful choreography did not leave the jury and spectators, who greeted their favourites with thunderous applause, indifferent. The Grand Prix and certificates for participation in the XXXIII International Arts Festival "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" in 2024 were awarded to vocalist Anzhela Albertyan from Armenia and the art group "Kasha" from Belarus. "This year, the Grand Prix in the dance category is not awarded to anyone, and therefore the second Grand Prix with a ticket to the 'Slavianski Bazaar' has been decided to be given to a vocal ensemble," noted Gleb Lapitsky, General Director of the Vitebsk Culture Centre, Director of the "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" Arts Festival. Speaking about the still young, but already traditional festival, which is being held in the regional centre for the fifth time, the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Subbotin, who attended the gala concert, noted that such a diversity of talents is gratifying. "Today, 16 countries are represented on stage; they are friends, they exchange experience. I think this is a significant event. It is also gratifying to emphasize that this is not only a festival with a competitive element, but also a very large educational project that allows the younger generation to gain new experience, friends, and skills in art. I believe that great creative people of our country, and not only, are forged here.
