No place for the drunk and unlicensed on the road!

During the holiday season, the incidence of drunk driving accidents increases. From December 25 to January 8, the State Automobile Inspectorate will conduct nationwide preventive measures titled "Drunk and Unlicensed Drivers Have No Place on the Road!".

Traffic surveillance will be enhanced, with adherence to traffic rules monitored not only for drivers but also for pedestrians, including in areas of mass public gatherings. An exchange of traffic police patrols from neighboring districts is planned, along with the implementation of special operations "Filter" and "Web". Employees of the special traffic police unit "Strela" will provide assistance to regions with the most unfavorable road safety situation.

Increased attention will also be paid to the rules for the safe transportation of passengers, especially children, as the winter holidays for schoolchildren coincide with the festive period. It is crucial for parents to remind young pedestrians about road safety rules. Drivers should exercise increased vigilance when driving in courtyards and approaching pedestrian crossings.
