The Head of the District, Mikhail Kiselevich, and the Director of UP "Lepel MCC", Denis Palhovsky, as part of the delegation of the Vitebsk region, took part in the first Belarusian-Chinese Forum of Regions, which was held from July 1 to July 2 in Lanzhou (Gansu Province, PRC).

The Chairman of the Economics Committee of the Regional Executive Committee, Dmitry Novatsky, also held a meeting with the leadership of Zaozhuang city.
The Head of Lepel District, Mikhail Kiselevich, spoke about the results of the extensive business trip to the Celestial Empire:
"The signing of the memorandum by the Lepel side and one of the largest districts of Beijing – Shunyi – marks an important stage in the development of bilateral ties. This document has cemented a partnership for two years and covers key areas: cultural exchanges, humanitarian projects, and the development of trade and economic relations.
By the way, Shunyi is one of the largest districts of Beijing, which emphasizes the significance of this agreement. It hosts the international airport, and also houses major machine-building enterprises.
I would especially like to note China's great interest in the products of the Lepel Dairy and Canned Goods Plant. This fact testifies to the high quality and competitiveness of local goods in the international arena. By the way, in the near future, it is planned to organize a return visit of a Chinese delegation to the land of Lepel, which will provide an opportunity not only to showcase products but also to establish closer ties between the regions.
And most importantly, this cooperation is taking place against the backdrop of a high degree of interaction between the leaders of Belarus and China. The heads of the two countries set the tone for the regions, inspiring them to active cooperation. Lepel and Shunyi, following this course, can become an example of successful partnership that will benefit not only local economies but also strengthen friendly relations between the peoples."
