A meeting was held at the State Control Committee to discuss the organisation of inspection activities in Belarusian schools, BELTA was informed by the SCC.
By the instruction of the President of Belarus, an interdepartmental working group will be established in the near future for these purposes, headed by the Deputy Chairman of the State Control Committee, Alexander Kurlypo, and the Minister of Education, Igor Karpenko. It will include representatives from the SCC, the Council of Ministers' apparatus, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Housing and Communal Services, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, and the State Committee for Standardization.
Similar groups will be formed in the regions. Their overall task is to study issues of ensuring proper conditions for children's stay in schools in accordance with state standards. This concerns the condition of heating, ventilation, and water supply systems, compliance with sanitary norms and rules, and safety requirements.
Inspection activities will take place in November-December of the current year in all schools of the country.
In the near future, hotlines will be organised at the SCC and regional state control committees, where residents can report problems in the functioning of schools.-0-
