This point of view was expressed to journalists by the Minister of Information Oleg Proleskovsky, who today took part in the meeting of the Ideological Work Department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, BELTA correspondent reports. Today, citizens have enough sources of information, so it is impossible to deceive them. Ideologists should build a constructive dialogue between government bodies and ordinary people. According to Oleg Proleskovsky, they are succeeding in this. "Modern ideologists are a new generation of people: smart, talented, and most importantly, devoted to their Motherland and people. There have been no failures in their work. There are rough edges, and we will eliminate them," the minister said. One of the important areas of activity for the ideological vertical and the Ministry of Information in the coming years will be the support of regional media, including electronic ones, as well as the development of Internet resources. Oleg Proleskovsky noted that as early as last year, the Internet versions of regional newspapers were not discussed - they simply did not exist. Today they already exist, and the interest in them is huge, including from foreign readers. In the opinion of the minister, it is now important to create a quality product, to publish operational news on the newspaper websites, leaving printed sheets for large journalistic forms. Oleg Proleskovsky also noted that Belarus is the only state in the post-Soviet space where the circulation of central and regional newspapers has not decreased, and the ratings of regional newspapers are comparable to the rating of the most popular newspaper in the country, "SB - Belarus Today".
