On November 3, Vitebsk / Sergey Kotovets - BELTA /. Work to create favorable conditions for the development of private initiative in Belarus will be continued. This was stated by the Chairman of the Council for Entrepreneurship Development in Belarus, Vladimir Zinovsky, at a meeting of the council on the topic "Private Investments as a Factor of Socio-Economic Development of the Country," which was held today in Vitebsk, BELTA correspondent reports.
The draft Program for Socio-Economic Development of Belarus for 2011-2015 provides for the creation of favorable conditions for the development of entrepreneurial initiative and an increase in investment inflow into the economy. The country's investment policy will maintain its focus on domestic financial resources, as well as on intensifying the investment activities of economic entities of all forms of ownership. To ensure a favorable investment climate, along with the continuation of the processes of economic liberalization and privatization of state property, the draft program sets the task of optimizing the tax system, reporting, and administrative control. In addition, it is planned to take measures in the area of ensuring property rights, and further simplifying investors' access to the real estate and land market. Serious measures to improve investment conditions are also provided for in the draft Directive No. 4, aimed at developing entrepreneurial initiative and stimulating business activity, Vladimir Zinovsky emphasized.
During the field meeting, council members shared their experience in implementing investment projects with the involvement of domestic investments. Taking into account the expressed wishes, it is planned to form proposals for improving the conditions for intensifying the activities of domestic private investors, which will be sent to government bodies.
The meeting was held at the Vitebsk enterprise "Marko," which, according to Vladimir Zinovsky, serves as a vivid example of how Belarusian business invests financial resources in the development of its own production and, consequently, in the development of the country.
SOOO "Marko" is one of the largest Belarusian footwear manufacturers. It includes about 10 enterprises, including three footwear factories. According to the results of 2009, "Marko" produced 3.5 million pairs of shoes, increasing production by almost 0.5 million pairs compared to 2008. -0-
