The Head of State, Alexander Lukashenko, received a report from the Chief of the Presidential Affairs Directorate, Viktor Sheiman. The focus was on the state of affairs at enterprises under the Presidential Affairs Directorate, as well as the development of cooperation with African countries, reports BELTA correspondent.

"How are things at these enterprises? After all, you've worked for three quarters. What is the situation there and what is most concerning?" the Head of State inquired.

He noted that the Presidential Affairs Directorate manages a large number of various enterprises and organizations. "It's a whole ministry," remarked Alexander Lukashenko.

The second topic of the report was the development of trade and economic cooperation with countries on the African continent, an area supervised by Viktor Sheiman. "I see that there have been some developments in equipment sales. While not large-scale, something we agreed upon and planned has already started. How are things progressing? What is negatively affecting the development of relations with African states?" Alexander Lukashenko outlined the meeting's agenda.

The President emphasized that cooperation with African countries must continue to be developed. "These are countries, as we say, from the 'outer arc'. Countries rich in natural resources. Perhaps we can extract something for ourselves somewhere. Perhaps we can work in exchange for our goods," said the Head of State.

As Viktor Sheiman reported, regional banking organizations with which Belarus cooperates in Africa are gradually beginning to finance joint projects. "That's great. Therefore, we will consider this topic," noted Alexander Lukashenko.
