23 June, Vitebsk /Diana Kurilo - BELTA/. Work with citizens' appeals in Belarus will continue, stated the Chairman of the State Control Committee of Belarus, Alexander Yakobson, at a meeting of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee today, BELTA correspondent reports.
"Work with citizens' appeals in the country does not stop," emphasized the head of the control department. In his opinion, while recording the number of citizens' appeals, local officials should not forget that a decrease in the number of appeals can indicate both the resolution of problems and a lack of trust in local authorities. "Sometimes citizens do not appeal because they do not trust. 3-6 people sometimes come to the reception of the district executive committee chairman, but as soon as a high-ranking official arrives, there are significantly more people," stated Alexander Yakobson.
The Chairman of the State Control Committee urged leaders to spend more time in work collectives. "We need to communicate with people more often, answer their not always pleasant questions. This is our job," he stressed. -0-
