Monitoring of the Lepel District Electrical Networks of the Polotsk Electric Networks Branch of RUP "Vitebskenergo" was carried out.

Monitoring results revealed violations of fire safety requirements that do not pose a threat to national security, harm to the life and health of the population, or the environment.

In November of the current year, inspectors from the Supervision and Prevention Inspectorate of the Lepel District Department for Emergency Situations conducted a monitoring of the Lepel District Electric Network, a branch of the Polotsk Electric Networks of the RUP "Vitebskenergo," located at: Lepel, Gospitalnaya St., 2. Monitoring results revealed violations of fire safety requirements that do not pose a threat to national security, harm to the life and health of the population, or the environment, namely: the external evacuation staircase has not been tested (Clause 9 of the General Fire Safety Requirements for the Maintenance and Operation of Capital Buildings (Structures, Buildings, Facilities), Isolated Premises, and Other Objects Belonging to Business Entities, approved by Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus No. 7 of 23.11.2017).

The causes and conditions contributing to these violations were insufficient knowledge of regulatory legal acts in the field of fire safety by officials, a formal approach to the performance of their direct duties, and weakened control by management.
