As a result of the monitoring, violations of fire safety requirements were identified that do not pose a threat to national security, harm to the life and health of the population, or the environment.

In November of the current year, inspectors of the supervision and prevention department of the Lepel District Department for Emergency Situations conducted a monitoring of the RUP "Vitebskenergo" Polotsk Branch Lepel District Production and Sales Unit located at: Lepel, Partizanskaya St., 13b. As a result of the monitoring, violations of fire safety requirements were identified that do not pose a threat to national security, harm to the life and health of the population, or the environment.

- The doors of the main entrance do not allow for the locks (fastenings) of evacuation doors to be opened freely from the inside without a key (Clause 48 of the General Fire Safety Requirements for the Maintenance and Operation of Capital Structures (Buildings, Structures), Isolated Premises and Other Objects Belonging to Business Entities, approved by Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus No. 7 of 23.11.2017 (hereinafter referred to as the GFPSR));

- A table is located on the first floor of the building's stairwell, obstructing passageways and reducing the minimum evacuation width (Clause 50 GFPSR)

The causes and conditions contributing to the commission of the specified violations were the insufficient knowledge of officials regarding the requirements of regulatory legal acts in the field of fire safety, a formal attitude towards the performance of their direct official duties, as well as weakened control by management.
