On the eve of the New Year, a socio-pedagogical centre was opened. For a long time, the social shelter was located in the building of a former kindergarten. It was rather cramped.

A few years ago, the buildings of the former military hospital were vacated. After several unsuccessful attempts to find a new owner, it was decided to give one of the buildings to the children. For a whole year, employees of the "Budounik" enterprise and volunteer workers worked there, carrying out modern interior and exterior repairs to make the accommodation spacious and comfortable for the residents.

The housewarming became a real celebration for children and adults. At the time of the centre's opening, cars lined up in front of the entrance to the new building – representatives of enterprises and organisations brought gifts for the new residents. After a short welcoming speech by the Deputy Chairman of the District Executive Committee, Nikolai Nikitin, the red ribbon was cut. Following a brief tour, guests began presenting gifts. Representatives of more than 15 organisations and enterprises were present at the celebration – more than 15 Father Frosts with generous gifts.

After the official part and the presentation of gifts, a concert was held, in which, along with the residents of the shelter, students from the Zaslonovskaya school and military musicians demonstrated their creative abilities.
