A criminal case was considered against a resident of Borovka village for committing a crime stipulated by Part 1 of Article 380 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus.
In April 2017, the state technical inspection for the car of a Borovka village resident expired. Subsequently, he did not undergo it due to a lack of funds. In February 2019, while in Olscha village, Smolensk region, Russian Federation, he entered a retail outlet where a mark of passing the technical inspection was made for 500 Russian Federation National Bank roubles. On his way home, he stopped at a petrol station in Liozno district and made entries on the certificate regarding the dates of passing the technical inspection himself with a pen. However, he was unaware that one stamp should indicate the year of passing the technical inspection, and the second stamp should indicate the month and year of passing the next technical inspection. On 20.03.2019, on the Lepel-Polotsk-Vitebsk highway, he was stopped by a traffic police officer who, upon checking his documents, discovered a forgery in the certificate of passing the state technical inspection.
Both during the preliminary investigation and the court proceedings, the Borovka village resident fully admitted his guilt in forging another official document granting him the right to participate in road traffic with a vehicle and using a knowingly false official document.
The court of Lepel district found the Borovka village resident guilty of committing a crime stipulated by Part 1 of Article 380 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus and sentenced him to a fine payable to the state in the amount of 55 base units, which amounts to 1402.5 roubles.
This sentence of the court of Lepel district has entered into legal force.
