A criminal case has been considered against a repeatedly convicted resident of Lepel who violated the requirements of preventive supervision, and also committed a car theft and 2 attempted car thefts.
During the preliminary and judicial investigation, it was established that the resident of Lepel, being a person under preventive supervision, having been subjected to administrative penalties twice within a year for violating the requirements of preventive supervision, again violated the requirements of preventive supervision without valid reasons.
He also, repeatedly between 20:00 on 11.01.2019 and 03:00 on 12.01.2019, while intoxicated and intending to steal property, entered a VAZ 2106 car through an unlocked door and attempted to start the engine with the aim of stealing the vehicle. However, he could not bring his criminal intent to completion due to circumstances beyond his control, because he could not start the car's engine.
He also, repeatedly between 20:00 on 11.01.2019 and 03:00 on 12.01.2019, while intoxicated and intending to steal property, entered another VAZ 2106 car through an unlocked door and attempted to start the engine with the aim of stealing the vehicle. However, he could not bring his criminal intent to completion due to circumstances beyond his control, because he could not start the car's engine.
He also, repeatedly between 20:00 on 11.01.2019 and 03:00 on 12.01.2019, while intoxicated and intending to steal property, entered a third VAZ 2106 car through an unlocked door, started the engine by short-circuiting the electrical wires with the aim of stealing the vehicle, and then fled the scene of the crime in this car.
Previously, the accused had been repeatedly prosecuted for theft, vehicle hijacking, and driving a vehicle while intoxicated.
