28 June, Minsk /BELTA/. Additional expenses from the Social Protection Fund for the payment of one-off social assistance to pensioners in July will amount to Br94.4 billion. This was announced to journalists by Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Protection Valentina Koroleva, commenting on Presidential Decree No. 263 "On one-off financial assistance", as reported by a BELTA correspondent. In accordance with the decree, in July of this year, one-off financial assistance will be provided to non-working disabled persons whose pensions do not reach twice the subsistence minimum budget per capita - Br686.5 thousand. The amount of assistance is the difference between Br686.5 thousand and the pension received, but not exceeding Br150 thousand. Approximately 880,000 Belarusian pensioners will receive such social support. "In the context of rising prices, the decision to pay financial assistance is very timely so that non-working pensioners feel more confident," said Valentina Koroleva. She noted that pensioners will receive the supplement along with their July pension. This will affect the most socially vulnerable pensioners - recipients of low pensions who are not working. The decree does not apply to pensioners who are under state care, serving sentences in places of deprivation of liberty, as well as to pensioners receiving pensions from other states and from the Republic of Belarus in other states.-0-
