19 December, Minsk /BELTA correspondent/. In Belarus, the real wages of employees will increase by 5% in 2012. This was announced to journalists by the Minister of Finance, Andrei Kharkovets, as reported by a BELTA correspondent. "The 2012 budget includes expenditures that will ensure a 5% increase in real wages," the minister said. "That is, price and tariff increases will be compensated by an additional increase in wages or monetary income of the population by at least 5%." Resources for these purposes are allocated for the budget sector, emphasized Andrei Kharkovets. As for the real sector of the economy, according to the minister, the principle of earning money should apply there. And, undoubtedly, the entire economy is geared towards this, he stressed. Andrei Kharkovets recalled the reduction in the tax burden. "We are allowing enterprises, through tax incentives, to retain more funds and use them more effectively, including for the remuneration of employees who create GDP," said the Minister of Finance. He specified that the reduction in the tax burden is estimated at 0.4% of GDP, or Br2 trillion.-0-
