In Belarus, the real size of assigned pensions (pensions calculated taking into account the change in the consumer price index for goods and services) in November 2012 increased by 63.2% compared to November 2011, and by 11.9% compared to October 2012. This was reported to BelTA by the National Statistical Committee.
As a reminder, in November, the amounts of pensions paid by the labour, employment and social protection authorities were increased.
The average size of assigned pensions amounted to Br1 million 886.8 thousand, which is 2.6 times the subsistence minimum budget for pensioners (in accordance with the government decree, the subsistence minimum budget for pensioners in September 2012 prices, calculated per month for the period from 1 November 2012 to 31 January 2013, is Br727.3 thousand).
The average size of old-age pensions was Br1 million 963.9 thousand, disability pensions - Br1 million 711.2 thousand, survivor pensions - Br1 million 224.1 thousand, and social pensions - Br818 thousand.
In November of this year, 2 million 504.6 thousand pensioners were registered with the labour, employment and social protection authorities in Belarus (compared to 2 million 486.9 thousand people in December 2011). -0-
