Regional selections for the XXX International Festival of Arts "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" will be held in Belarus from November 12 to December 11, the Ministry of Culture reported.

Regional selections for the XXX International Festival of Arts "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" will be held in Belarus from November 12 to December 11, the Ministry of Culture reported.

The Ministry of Culture, in conjunction with the "Vitebsk" Cultural Centre – the directorate of the "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" International Festival of Arts, regional executive committees, and the Minsk City Executive Committee, is preparing for the qualifying rounds of the XXX International Pop Song Performers Contest "Vitebsk" and the XVIII International Children's Music Contest "Vitebsk". Gomel will be the starting point for the regional qualifying rounds on November 12. Mogilev will follow on November 18, Borisov on December 2, Grodno on December 3, Vitebsk on December 4, and Minsk on December 7. The first stage of the qualifying rounds will conclude on December 11 in the Brest region.

Young Belarusians aged 8 to 14 can participate in the qualifying round for the children's music contest. Applications for the pop song performers contest are accepted from citizens no younger than 18 and no older than 31. All contestants must have experience of concert performances and victories in international or republican music contests and festivals.

Performers are required to prepare two compositions: a pop song by a Belarusian author in the Belarusian language and a pop song of the participant's choice that best reflects their performing skills and artistic abilities (for participants of the children's music contest), as well as a pop song by a composer from a Slavic country in one of the Slavic languages and a world hit (for participants of the pop song performers contest).

Up to 5 participants from each region and Minsk will be selected for the second stage of the qualifying rounds based on the results of the regional selections.
