Raid operations to monitor compliance with traffic regulations by taxi drivers

Over the 12 months of 2019, 20 traffic accidents caused by taxi drivers occurred within the Vitebsk region, resulting in 2 fatalities and 20 injuries.

During the current period of 2020, 6 traffic accidents involving this category of vehicles have occurred within the city of Vitebsk, resulting in 1 fatality and 7 injuries.

To prevent traffic accidents caused by or involving taxi drivers, and to prevent violations of the Traffic Regulations by such individuals, raid activities to monitor compliance with the Traffic Regulations by taxi drivers will be conducted in the Lepel district from March 20 to March 27, 2020.

During these activities, officers of the internal affairs department of the Lepel District Executive Committee will conduct: awareness-raising and raid activities, and monitor compliance with the Traffic Regulations by road users.
