On November 13, Minsk /BelTA correspondent/. A "PAZ 4234" scheduled bus caught fire in the village of Otrubok, Dokshytsy District, Vitebsk Region. There were no passengers on board at the time of the fire, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Belarus informed BelTA. As explained by the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the bus was travelling on the Dokshytsy-Kripuly route. The presumed cause of the fire is a violation of the rules for the operation of electrical networks and electrical equipment (short circuit of the bus's wiring). "While attempting to extinguish the fire himself, the driver, born in 1959, sustained burns to his hands of 1st-2nd degree (5%). He was hospitalised by an ambulance crew at the Dokshytsy Central District Hospital," the ministry noted. The engine compartment and the interior of the bus were damaged. -0-
