Recently, there has been an increase in cases of citizens dying at home in bathtubs across the Republic of Belarus.
In the 12 months of 2024 alone, 14 citizens drowned in bathtubs in the Republic of Belarus. The causes of these accidents are varied, including leaving both elderly individuals and young children unsupervised while bathing, as well as the presence of cardiovascular diseases in citizens for whom such procedures are not recommended.
There are a number of contraindications:
- Hot baths should be avoided if you have cardiovascular diseases;
- People with low blood pressure should not take baths. During the procedure, blood vessels expand even further, which can provoke fainting;
- Water procedures can worsen migraines, and in case of thrombosis, can provoke an exacerbation of the disease due to the strain on blood vessels;
- Warm baths can cause a sharp drop in blood sugar levels, which is very dangerous for diabetics;
- You should not take a hot bath after being severely chilled outdoors;
- It is strictly forbidden for intoxicated individuals to take a bath;
