Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Alexander Subbotin considered housing and communal services issues and several private matters at his first personal reception of citizens.
Three people had signed up for a reception with the head of the region. Two of them concerned personal matters, and one addressed the problem of a leaking roof in a multi-story residential building in Vitebsk. The applicant told Alexander Subbotin that the roof of the nine-story building, constructed in 1974, is leaking. The Vitebsk resident lives on the top floor. Autumn rains and spring thaws flood not only the residents on the top floor. Several years ago, heavy precipitation flooded apartments down to the sixth floor. Residents are forced to constantly repair their homes. Also, a storm drain runs near the applicant's apartment, which also requires the close attention of the employees of the housing and communal services organization and serious repairs.
Yuri Dyadelo, head of the main department of housing and communal services of the regional executive committee, who was present at the reception, noted that the house of the Vitebsk resident who applied has not had major repairs for about 20 years. Now that there is a request, the housing and communal services workers will conduct an inspection and carry out roof repairs. "All work must be completed as soon as possible, before the heating is turned off and there is an opportunity to dry the apartment after all work is completed. Approach the repair comprehensively: both the roof and the storm drain need to be fixed," ordered Alexander Subbotin, noting that he is taking this issue under his personal control.
