Power engineering repair crews from all regions of Belarus will gather for republican competitions in Vitebsk, BELTA was informed by the Vitebskenergo enterprise.
Competitions for repair and maintenance crews of distribution power grids will be held from June 26 to 30 at the Training Centre branch of RUP Vitebskenergo. Teams from six regional power systems (RUP Brestenergo, Vitebskenergo, Gomelenergo, Grodnoenergo, Minskenergo, and Mogilevenergo) will participate in the professional skills contest.
The competitions include 7 stages. Participants will have to demonstrate skills in repairing and maintaining power lines, organising high-altitude repairs, as well as first aid skills. Power engineers will also undergo a theoretical knowledge test.
During the competitions, a thematic exhibition of enterprises developing equipment, maintenance and repair technologies for electrical installations, as well as electrical safety equipment, is planned.
