During the first stage of the republican campaign "Safe New Year!", aimed at preventing fires and accidents resulting from the use of pyrotechnic devices, propaganda inspector Alexander Sadovsky visited the day care unit of the Lepel District Territorial Center for Social Services. In his speech, the rescuer informed the attendees about the launched "Safe New Year!" campaign, and presented statistics on fires and fatalities in the Lepel district. Special attention was paid to observing fire safety measures during the Christmas and New Year holidays, reminding attendees about the dangers of using pyrotechnic devices, the responsible use of electrical equipment, rules for setting up a Christmas tree, and the use of basic fire extinguishing equipment. The rescuer also warned attendees about the dangers of venturing onto thin, unsolid ice, and provided examples of people who had died this year. After watching educational videos "Pyrotechnics", "Rules of Conduct on Ice", and "Safe New Year!", the center's residents readily answered quiz questions, with most answers being correct. They also collectively reviewed the action plan in case of fire and the procedure for calling rescuers. Active participants were given informational leaflets. At the end of the meeting, the visitors of the day care unit presented creative performances, and the rescuer wished everyone good health and a safe New Year.
