As part of the second stage of the republican campaign "Safe New Year!", Lepel rescuers conducted preventive measures in the junior and middle grades of the Educational Institution "Secondary School No. 1 of Lepel". During the Christmas and New Year holidays, the number of fires and injuries among children and adults increases due to violations of safety rules. Therefore, the Ministry of Emergency Situations employees focused the schoolchildren's attention on the rules for using pyrotechnic devices, New Year's garlands, and rules of conduct on water bodies during the winter period. To attract children's attention to safety issues and improve their understanding of educational materials, engaging contests and games were held with the children. Through these activities, children learned how to safely decorate a Christmas tree, extinguish a fire in its early stages, and recalled emergency service numbers. Additionally, educational films and cartoons "The Magic Book of the Ministry of Emergency Situations" were shown to the students. Active participants in the events were presented with "Safe Childhood" leaflets. At the end of the meeting, the rescuers wished the children safe holidays, and they, in turn, promised to follow the safety rules and carefully ensure that their parents also adhere to these rules.
