With the aim of fostering a culture of life safety among the population, raising awareness of natural and man-made emergencies, methods and means of protection, teaching first aid skills, and training the population on actions upon the "Attention all!" signal, the republican campaign "Safety Day. Attention all!" will be held in the Lepel district from March 1 to March 29.

Attention all!" will be held in the Lepel district from March 1 to March 29.
On March 1, a thematic lesson dedicated to World Civil Defence Day will be held in all educational institutions across the country. During the lesson, Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) officers will inform children about the correct actions upon the "Attention all!" signal, about the dangers present in the district, methods of protection, evacuation, and will teach them how to behave in various emergency situations: during fires in natural ecosystems, safe behaviour on water bodies, during hazardous meteorological phenomena, accidents at radiation and chemically hazardous facilities, and much more. MES officers will also demonstrate video clips and films titled "Attention all!" signal and "Actions upon the 'Attention all!' signal."
Employees of enterprises and organisations will also not be overlooked, as MES officers will deliver presentations to work collectives providing information on the goals and objectives of civil defence, existing high-risk facilities, procedures for acting upon the "Attention all!" signal, population protection measures, civil defence shelters, and personal protective equipment.
The second stage will take place from March 11 to March 22. Rescuers will conduct events in rural settlements, at mobile shop locations, post offices, and day care centres based at territorial social service centres for the population.
During the third stage, which will run from March 25 to March 29, MES officers will visit the homes (apartments) of large families and families with children in socially dangerous situations.
The rescuers will also conduct activities in school camps and at parent-teacher meetings: they will hold interactive preventive discussions on safety, explain actions upon hearing the "Attention all!" signal, and cover skills for behaviour in various emergency situations (meteorological phenomena), in case of accidents at radiation and chemically hazardous facilities, reinforcing theory with thematic video screenings and distribution of visual aids.

For reference: the "Attention all!" signal is a prolonged wail of electric sirens or intermittent whistles of enterprises. If you hear such a signal, you should immediately turn on your television or radio receiver and listen to the message, which will inform you about the emergency situation that has occurred and provide all necessary recommendations for your subsequent actions.
