Practically one in five deaths from external causes is due to accidental alcohol poisoning. In contrast, one in eight deaths is related to vehicles.

Drunkenness is one of the most negative social phenomena in society, leading to family distress, causing irreparable harm to the institution of the family, hindering the full development of minors, negatively affecting the crime situation, and in some cases leading to tragic consequences. In the Lepel district alone, over 2 months of 2021, no crimes were committed in the sphere of family and domestic relations (2020 – 2).

In this regard, from April 5 to April 9, 2021, the republican preventive campaign "House without Violence" is being held in the Lepel district. During the campaign, employees of the Lepel District Department of Internal Affairs, together with interested departments, will visit individuals who have previously committed offenses and crimes in the sphere of family and domestic relations and are under preventive supervision at the Lepel District Department of Internal Affairs, at their place of residence, with the aim of preventing them from committing offenses and domestic violence.

If you witness family distress, do not wait for a tragedy, but call the telephone line 102 or 3 20 83, where police officers will provide assistance, and competent specialists from the social adaptation and rehabilitation department will provide psychological and rehabilitation services in the crisis room.
