Today, the marathon of kindness was joined by Veronika Khombak, Deputy Chairperson of the District Executive Committee, and Viktor Azaryonok, a Deputy of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus.

Fellow countrymen addressed their attention and care to the visitors of the "Sviatlica" 24-hour care unit for the elderly. The heartfelt visit was not without surprises – gifts from "Lepelka" and the culinary workshop of the Territorial Centre for Social Services were presented to the grandmothers and grandfathers. Students from the Borovaya School also delighted with their creative performances.

The guests congratulated the elderly residents of the unit on the New Year and Christmas, and those who take care of their health and well-being every day – on the upcoming Social Worker's Day.

"We have come to congratulate your big family. We wish you all strong health, well-being, interesting events, and peaceful skies above your heads, the attention of your relatives and loved ones, and the state, which truly remembers every resident of our country," said Viktor Azaryonok, addressing warm words of congratulations.

As Veronika Khombak noted, such meetings bring warmth and joy of communication not only to the respected older generation but also to the guests, and to a much greater extent.

"Your openness, sincerity of soul and empathy, and broad outlook energise us, give us strength and creativity in our work, and make us spiritually richer. Such meetings help to strengthen the values of our people – care for the older generation," added Veronika Aleksandrovna.

We remind you that the "From the Bottom of Our Hearts" campaign is taking place in our country on the initiative of the President. Its main task is to surround our elderly citizens with care and attention in anticipation of the bright holidays.
