With the aim of fostering environmental awareness in children and nurturing their careful attitude towards nature, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Belarus (hereinafter referred to as the Ministry of Natural Resources) is organising the "Republican Competition for the Best Children's Drawing on Environmental Themes".

With the aim of fostering environmental awareness in children and nurturing their careful attitude towards nature, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Belarus (hereinafter referred to as the Ministry of Natural Resources) is organising the "Republican Competition for the Best Children's Drawing on Environmental Themes". The instructions on the procedure for conducting the competition were approved by Resolution No. 32 of the Ministry of Natural Resources dated 09.07.2010. Drawings submitted for the competition can be executed in any technique, including appliqué, and should reflect a careful attitude towards nature, the preservation of biological and landscape diversity, environmental protection, and the sustainable use of natural resources.

Children in the age groups of 3 to 5 years and 6 to 10 years can participate in the competition. The Lepel District Inspectorate of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection invites all interested individuals to participate.

The competition will be held from February 1 to May 1 in three stages:

- First stage (February 1 - March 1) - determination of the best works at the district and city levels;

- Second stage (March 2 - April 1) - determination of the best works at the regional level;

- Third stage (April 2 - May 1) - determination of the best works at the republican level.

Submitted works should be presented in colour on sheets of A4 to A1 format. Each work submitted for the competition must be accompanied by an information sheet of the participant, indicating the name of the educational institution, the author's surname, first name and age, postal address, and contact telephone number. Works should be submitted to the address: Lepel, Partizanskaya St., 10.
