September 11, Minsk /BELTA correspondent/. A republican seminar-training for consultants of children's helplines will be held in Minsk from September 29 to October 2, the Ministry of Health informed BELTA.
The four-day event will bring together specialists working in healthcare institutions of the republic who provide psychological and psychotherapeutic assistance to children and adolescents in crisis. Participants will be able to jointly develop algorithms for handling calls from children regarding abuse, rights violations, suicides, etc. There will be an opportunity to discuss complex cases from their own practice with each other, gain new experience in overcoming difficult problem situations of subscribers, which will reduce the likelihood of psychological burnout.
During the seminar, it is also planned to broaden specialists' understanding of the specifics of providing psychological assistance and support by phone, and to give helpline consultants the opportunity to practice emergency psychological assistance techniques for children during role-playing.
The seminar will be held at the City Clinical Children's Psychiatric Dispensary. This is the fourth event planned under the professional development program for specialists in the republic's healthcare system.-0-
