An constituent assembly of the Republican Union of Customs Relations Participants was held at the State Customs Committee of Belarus. The union is to be registered in the coming days, the SCC informed BELTA.
The relevance of establishing such a union is confirmed by modern practice and has a normative provision in the new version of the decree "On Customs Regulation". The purpose of establishing the union is to establish and maintain official consultative relations between customs authorities and persons engaged in foreign economic activities, authorised economic operators, their associations and unions.
"I am convinced that thanks to the creation of such an organisation, the circle of participants in the dialogue between customs and business will expand. The work of the union will contribute to the acceleration and simplification of customs procedures, and will provide economic entities with new opportunities for the implementation of their plans," noted the Chairman of the SCC, Yuri Senko.
Currently, over 30,000 economic entities are engaged in foreign economic activities in Belarus.
