On March 2, Vitebsk / Sergey Kochetov - BELTA /. The results of the organisation's work over the last two years will be summarised and a prospective plan for 2011-2012 will be approved at the meeting of the republican council of the public association "Belaya Rus" which will be held on March 12. This was announced to a BELTA correspondent by the deputy chairman of the public association, Sergey Pigarev. A total of three main issues have been submitted for the council's discussion, Sergey Pigarev explained. In addition to summarising the implementation of the organisation's two-year work plan, the event participants will analyse the experience and results of the primary organisations' participation in the election campaign for local council deputies and the presidential election campaign. Another important issue will be the approval of the public organisation's work plan for 2011-2012, including the discussion of the participation of "Belaya Rus" organisational structures in the 2012 election campaign for deputies of the National Assembly of Belarus. The council meeting will be attended by heads of the organisation's regional structures, chairpersons of all organisations based on the production principle, which constitute the most numerous organisational structures of "Belaya Rus" today. Chairpersons of Minsk district organisations of "Belaya Rus" have also been invited to the meeting, they will present their districts and share their work experience. Such representation will make it possible to develop a realistic long-term work programme for the organisation through lively discussion, taking into account local initiatives, and to discuss all new forms and methods of work, which often originate precisely in the regions, noted Sergey Pigarev. Today, the ranks of the public association "Belaya Rus" number more than 110,000 members. While in 2009 the organisation's membership grew by 9,000 people, in 2010 its ranks were joined by over 22,000 citizens. "The more real deeds the organisation has, the more "Belaya Rus" participates in campaigns and election campaigns, the more people learn about us and turn to us more often – first out of interest, and then consciously join our ranks," stated Sergey Pigarev. -0-
