21 June, Vitebsk /Diana Kurilo - BELTA/. In the Vitebsk region, the effectiveness of tax audits conducted in January-May of the current year amounted to 97.4%, the press center of the Ministry of Taxes and Duties Inspectorate for the Vitebsk region informed a BELTA correspondent.
Based on the results of almost 6,000 audits conducted by the region's inspectorates, an additional Br10.5 billion in taxes, penalties, and administrative fines was received by the budget, and Br1.7 billion in tangible assets and illegally obtained income was confiscated to state revenue. In addition, audits of entities engaged in export operations and the sale of products at a 10% rate prevented an unjustified refund of value added tax amounting to Br5 billion.
Since the beginning of the year, tax inspectorates of the Vitebsk region have conducted over 1.4 thousand unscheduled thematic operational audits of business entities and individuals, during which violations of legislation were identified. Based on the results of these audits, Br52 million in taxes were additionally accrued, tangible assets were seized, and income from illegal activities amounting to Br7.4 billion was identified. More than 580 cases of violation of the established procedure for accepting cash and the procedure for using cash registers when selling goods (works, services) for cash were identified, and fines totaling Br700 million were imposed on the violators.
During the audits of the procedure for acquiring, transporting, storing, and selling goods, 52 violations were identified. Based on the results of such audits, goods worth over Br2 billion were seized, income from illegal activities amounting to over Br2 billion was identified, and administrative fines totaling Br100 million were imposed on the violators. -0-
