Results of monitoring of educational institutions of Lepel district

The Lepel District Department for Emergency Situations reports that in October, department employees conducted monitoring of the "Yurkovshchyna Kindergarten of Lepel District", EDO "Staysky Kindergarten of Lepel District", EDO "Gorsky Kindergarten of Lepel District", EDO "Zaslonovsky Kindergarten of Lepel District", EDO "Borovsky Kindergarten of Lepel District", EDO "Starolyadenskaya Basic School named after F.P. Zanko of Lepel District".

During the aforementioned work, the following violations were identified upon inspection of the buildings and structures of the above-mentioned institutions:

EDO "Staysky Kindergarten of Lepel District":

The operability and condition of the external fire escapes of the kindergarten building are not ensured.

The doors of evacuation exits are not fully equipped with locks that allow them to be opened freely from the inside without a key.

EDO "Borovsky Kindergarten of Lepel District":

The fire evacuation plan does not comply with the requirements of Appendix 2 to the Resolution of the Ministry of Emergency Situations No. 82.

External emergency evacuation doors are not equipped with locks that allow them to be opened freely from the inside without a key.

EDO "Starolyadenskaya Basic School named after F.P. Zanko of Lepel District":

On evacuation routes, in the building for labour lessons, and in the nursery group, there are floor level differences (16.2 centimetres and 15.7 centimetres) without three steps or a ramp with a slope not exceeding 1:6.

Following the monitoring conducted, no violations of fire safety requirements were identified at EDO "Yurkovshchyna Kindergarten of Lepel District", EDO "Gorsky Kindergarten of Lepel District", EDO "Zaslonovsky Kindergarten of Lepel District".

In buildings equipped with a fire alarm system, checks for the serviceability and operability of the systems were carried out together with representatives of the servicing organisations. During the work performed

no violations were detected.

Evacuation plans for fire or other emergency situations, as well as instructions on fire safety rules, were worked out with the staff of the institutions.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reminds that in accordance with Art. 20 of the Law of the Republic of Belarus "On Fire Safety", heads of organizations must ensure fire safety and fire prevention regulations in their respective organizations.
