The Republican event "Belaya Rus - With Love for Children" is traditionally held in honour of the Independence Day celebration. "In each region of Belarus, members of the government, parliamentarians, heads of district administrations, and the leadership of the organisational structures of "Belaya Rus" congratulate and present gifts to new mothers," the press service noted.
This year in Minsk, the event will take place at the Republican Scientific and Practical Centre "Mother and Child", at City Clinical Hospitals No. 1, 3, and 6, and at Maternity Hospital No. 2. On Independence Day, 48 children were born in the Belarusian capital.
On a national scale, the "Belaya Rus - With Love for Children" event has been held since 2009. More than 2.7 thousand mothers across the country have already received gifts from the public association.
