A Russian investor, having become the owner of the open joint-stock company "Lepelpromshveymebel", intends to invest about $120 thousand in the development of the enterprise within the next two years, Vitaly Dmitriev, Deputy Chairman of the Lepel District Executive Committee, informed a BELTA correspondent. The Lepel District Executive Committee sold a 100% stake in "Lepelpromshveymebel" for Br3050 million to a Russian company. 238,820 shares under the management of the executive committee were put up for auction. The authorized capital of "Lepelpromshveymebel" is estimated at slightly over Br1 billion, with the price of one share being Br4.2 thousand. The auction was conducted in accordance with the regulations on the procedure for conducting tenders for the sale of privatization objects, approved by the Resolution of the Council of Ministers of Belarus. The condition for the sale was the guarantee of preserving the company's business profile for five years from the date of signing the share purchase agreement, the creation of at least 100 jobs, and an investment of at least $100 thousand in the enterprise's development. The Russian company agreed to the proposed terms. According to Vitaly Dmitriev, "Lepelpromshveymebel" will continue to specialize in the production of workwear. Currently, the total amount of the enterprise's accounts payable is about Br2 billion. By acquiring the enterprise, the investor has undertaken the obligation to repay it. Since the beginning of the year, 15 unused real estate objects owned by the executive committee have been sold in the Lepel district. Thanks to their sale, about Br600 million was additionally received into the district budget. Auctions for 4 more objects will be held before the end of the year. -0-
