Organ concerts and choirs will be featured at the concert hall of the St. Sophia Cathedral in Polotsk during the 2020 holiday season, reports a BELTA correspondent.
Musicians from Belarus and Russia will perform under the cathedral’s vaults. After Orthodox Christmas, music lovers can enjoy a Christmas concert-festival on January 8. The programme includes performances by Honoured Artist of Belarus Ksenia Pogorela (organ) and the exemplary choir "Fest" from Minsk. Ensembles from Russia will also attend the event. The concert hall will host performances by the children's folk instrument orchestra "Ladushki" (Serov), the girls' choir ensemble "Aquarelle" (Izhevsk), the concert choir of senior students "Kanto" (Saint Petersburg), the Russian song choir "Pokrova" (Khanty-Mansiysk), and the senior choir "Kamerton" (Nizhny Novgorod).
Residents and guests of Polotsk are also invited to organ concerts by Ksenia Pogorela from January 2 to 6. -0-
