On September 9, Vitebsk /Olga Bogacheva - BELTA/. The head of a Minsk-based company lost a large sum of undeclared currency at the border, BELTA was informed by the Vitebsk Customs. In July of this year, employees of the Orsha District Department of Internal Affairs discovered $1.9 million and 320.1 thousand euros, concealed from customs declaration, in the subwoofer of a car belonging to a 29-year-old Ukrainian citizen who has a residence permit in Belarus. The man transported this currency into the territory of Belarus through the "Novaya Guta" vehicle customs clearance post of the Gomel Customs via the "green corridor," where he was obliged to declare it. For the illegal movement of undeclared currency across the customs border, the offender was brought to administrative responsibility by the decision of the Oktyabrsky District Court of Vitebsk under Article 14.5, Part 2 of the Code of Administrative Offences of Belarus, with a fine of 10 base units and confiscation of the specified currency to the state revenue. The administrative case materials were transferred for investigation by the 9th Department (for Vitebsk Region) of the Main Directorate for Combating Organized Crime and Corruption of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus to the Vitebsk Customs and were considered at the location of the customs authority.-0-
