Dear residents of Lepel! Esteemed guests!
Dear residents of Lepel! Esteemed guests!
July 3rd has forever entered the history of Belarus as the most significant page in the struggle for freedom and independence, the culmination of the heroic Victory and the labour feat of the Belarusian people.
Independence Day is a celebration for all who cherish and understand our common values: pride in our country, the desire to work for its prosperity, love for our land, family, and loved ones.
On this day, we feel united with the destiny of the Fatherland, which has always been an example of peace, good neighbourliness, and hospitality.
We honour the heroism and fearlessness of the defenders of the Fatherland, who believed in victory and fought bravely for their Motherland. We highly value the selflessness of the home front workers and all those who, in the post-war years, raised devastated cities and villages from the ruins.
Our main task today is to worthily carry forward and pass on to our children and grandchildren the historical legacy received from the generation of victors and builders, to preserve peace and tranquility on our native land.
Much has changed in recent years: both the country and the people living in it. The desire of each of us to live in a free and peaceful state has remained unchanged.
We, the people of Belarus, look to the future and know that it exists as long as we cherish the memory of the past. And this memory is embodied in our main state holiday – Independence Day.
On this bright July day, please accept our most sincere wishes for peace, goodness, happiness, and well-being! Strong health, a peaceful sky above your heads, success in your creative work for the benefit of our native land, and prosperity for our common home – our native Belarus!
