Our State Emblem and State Flag were created by people inspired by noble ideas, fully aware of the value of independence and a clear, peaceful sky. We still see their dreams of a bright future for their people today in the rays of the rising sun, framed by ears of wheat on the image of our emblem. The fabric of the State Flag, a successor to the Banner of Victory, reminds us of the feats accomplished during the Great Patriotic War. The national ornament preserves our ancient cultural traditions. All of these are immutable images that form the basis of modern Belarusian symbolism and have become true guardians of our native land.
True patriotism is manifested not in words and slogans, but in a person's life stance and their daily actions for the benefit of their native country.
