The fabric of the State Flag, a successor to the Victory Banner, reminds us of the feats accomplished during the Great Patriotic War. The national ornament preserves our ancient cultural traditions. All these are immutable images that form the basis of modern Belarusian symbolism and have become true protectors of our native land.

Remember that today, state symbols embody the independence and state sovereignty of Belarus, and unite us all in our aspiration to preserve our way of life, ancestral traditions, and heroic past.
