Dear Orthodox Christians of the Vitebsk region!

This anniversary is a significant event not only for all of Belarus but also for the entire Orthodox world.

Founded by Saint Euphrosyne of Polotsk, the heavenly intercessor of the Belarusian land, the monastery is not only a spiritual symbol but also an invaluable part of our history and culture.

For nine centuries, this ancient monastery, one of the first centres of Orthodoxy and monastic life on Belarusian lands, has served as a beacon of faith and spirituality.

The Holy Transfiguration Monastery of Saint Euphrosyne is not just a unique landmark; it is a place where history lives, where faith takes tangible form in the architecture of the Holy Transfiguration Cathedral, its iconography, and holy relics. All this attracts hundreds of thousands of pilgrims from Belarus and other countries seeking solace, healing, and spiritual renewal.

May the anniversary become a new impetus for the further prosperity of the monastery, the strengthening of spiritual traditions, and the dissemination of the light of the Christian faith.

We wish all Orthodox Christians and the sisters of the monastery good health, peace, kindness, and prosperity!

Sincerely,
A.M. Subbotin, Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee.
D.V. Demidov, Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Council of Deputies.
