10 April, Minsk /BELTA correspondent/. The privatisation plan for state-owned assets of Belarus for 2011-2013 has been supplemented with another enterprise - RUPP "BelVitunipharm" (Vitebsk). This is stipulated by Resolution of the Council of Ministers of 7 April 2011 No. 454, as reported to BELTA by the press service of the Belarusian government. The resolution amends the plan for the transformation of republican unitary enterprises into open joint-stock companies for 2011-2013, approved by Government Resolution of 21 March 2011 No. 348. The republican unitary production enterprise "BelVitunipharm", belonging to the concern "Belbiopharm", has now been included in this plan. The decision was made in accordance with the new version of the law on the privatisation of state property of 16 July 2010. As noted by the State Property Committee, work is currently underway to establish a joint-stock company based on RUPP "BelVitunipharm". In March 2011, following a tender, the Jordanian Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Company became the founder of this enterprise. It plans to invest at least $14 million in its development. Thus, the Jordanian Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Company will become a co-founder of "BelVitunipharm" alongside the state in its corporatisation. The State Property Committee clarified that no other proposals to attract other participants in the corporatisation process of enterprises included in the transformation plan for 2011 have been received. Therefore, joint-stock companies will be established at the first stage with 100% state capital. And in accordance with the new privatisation law, it will be possible to sell shares on a compensatory basis to enterprise employees. It is recalled that the plan for the transformation of RUPs into OAO for 2011-2013 includes 135 enterprises. Of these, 15 entities are planned for corporatisation in 2011. Resolution of the Council of Ministers No. 348 also approves the privatisation plan for assets owned by the Republic of Belarus. For 2011-2013, the sale of shares in 244 enterprises is planned, including 180 OAO in 2011. RUPP "BelVitunipharm" was established in 2008, and its main activities include the production of pharmaceutical preparations and materials, as well as veterinary medicines, medical instruments, apparatus, and equipment.-0-
