The State Inspectorate for the Protection of Fauna and Flora informs:

According to the Rules for Hunting Management and Hunting, from the second Saturday of March to the second Sunday of May, during daylight hours, except for the period from 11:00 to 18:00, shotgun hunting from ambush is permitted only from a hide with decoys, using a decoy duck(s) and/or a stuffed decoy(s) and a call (calls) for mallard, common pochard, tufted duck, garganey, and Eurasian wigeon. The hunting of males (drakes) is permitted only if they have approached or landed near the decoy duck(s) or stuffed decoy(s). The use of smooth-bore hunting weapons with shot-loaded cartridges is allowed; hunting dogs are permitted for tracking and retrieving downed game: terriers, dachshunds, pointers, spaniels, retrievers, water dogs.

The total duration of the spring duck hunting season cannot exceed four weeks (28 calendar days). The specific dates for the spring goose hunting season within a given range are established by order or other decision of the hunting ground users before the start of the hunting season.
