The Lepel Inter-district Inspectorate for the Protection of Fauna and Flora reminds that in accordance with the Hunting Rules and the Rules for Maintaining Hunting Economy, the hunting season for male capercaillie and black grouse begins on March 20 and will last until May 10.

The Lepel Inter-district Inspectorate for the Protection of Fauna and Flora reminds that in accordance with the Hunting Rules and the Rules for Maintaining Hunting Economy, the hunting season for male capercaillie and black grouse begins on March 20 and will last until May 10. Capercaillie and black grouse are classified as regulated species of game animals; therefore, to hunt them, you must contact the hunting grounds user and purchase not only a permit but also a hunting license.

Hunting is permitted only between 3:00 AM and 9:00 AM.
Hunting methods include: shotgun hunting at the lek, stalking, and ambushing.
Rifled hunting weapons, smooth-bore hunting weapons with shot-loaded cartridges, hunting bows, and crossbows may be used (in accordance with the rules).
