From 25 May, drivers in Belarus are obliged to switch on their dipped headlights during daylight hours.

The special event campaign "Attention: Children!" will be held from May 25 to June 5 in Belarus.

The campaign is traditionally held at the end of the academic year to prevent road traffic accidents involving children.

The preventive measure is designed to draw attention to the problem of ensuring children's safety on the road and to increase the level of responsibility of parents and drivers.

To prevent injuries to minors during the special event, vehicles must be driven with their low beam headlights on during daylight hours.

Failure to comply with the requirements of this clause is subject to administrative liability under Part 3 of Article 18.13 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Belarus, in the form of a warning or a fine of up to 3 base units.

Also, on May 27, a Unified Road Safety Day "Let's Make Summer Safe Together!" will be held throughout the country.
