Despite the measures taken, a significant number of vehicle owners still ignore the procedure for checking the technical condition of their vehicles, thus irresponsibly treating their own safety and the safety of others.
Despite the measures taken, a significant
number of vehicle owners still ignore the procedure for checking the technical
condition of their vehicles, thus irresponsibly treating their own safety and the
safety of others. Cars with an unpleasant appearance, visible signs of corrosion,
body damage, and vehicles with malfunctioning external lighting devices that
mislead other road users evoke negative emotions. Many drivers, even if their
vehicle is technically sound, are in no hurry to obtain permission for their
vehicle to participate in road traffic.
In order to monitor the timely obtaining of permits for participation in road traffic, and to identify vehicles operated with technical malfunctions that threaten road traffic safety, from November 25 to December 04, 2020, control measures are being carried out on the territory of the Vitebsk region to monitor the timely obtaining of permits for vehicles to participate in road traffic by owners (proprietors) of vehicles. State Automobile Inspectorate officers, jointly with employees of UP "Beltekhosmotr", will conduct joint raids to identify vehicle owners who have not obtained permits for their vehicles to participate in road traffic. Special attention is paid to motor vehicles for passenger transportation – taxis and buses. Drivers whose vehicles are operated without a permit for participation in road traffic or do not comply with the requirements of technical regulatory legal acts will be brought to administrative responsibility.
We would like to remind you that driving a vehicle for which a permit for participation in road traffic has not been issued, or which is not registered in the prescribed manner, is subject to liability under Art. 18.12 Part 5 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Belarus and is punishable by a fine of up to 3 basic units. Actions,
provided for by
parts 1,
3-
5 of Art.
18.12 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Belarus, committed repeatedly within one year
after the imposition of an administrative penalty for the same violations, shall be
subject to liability in accordance with Art. 18.12 Part 9 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the RB in the form of a fine in
the amount of up to 5 basic units, with a minimum of 2 basic units.
It is worth noting that car owners have
increasingly begun to operate vehicles with a questionable mark in the certificate of passing the state technical inspection. We remind you that for the use of
forged documents, stamps, seals, criminal liability is provided for, up to
deprivation of liberty.
In this regard, we recommend in advance
to pay due attention to the technical condition of your vehicle and
legally, within the established deadlines, undergo state technical inspection and obtain a permit for the admission of the vehicle to participate in road traffic.
