Due to the start of the spring-summer season, traffic of cyclists and persons using personal mobility devices has increased on the region's roads. To enhance the effectiveness of accident prevention efforts involving this category of road users, to prevent the development of an unfavorable road traffic situation, and to preserve the lives and health of citizens, the State Automobile Inspectorate (GAI) will conduct a set of preventive measures from March 27 to April 10, aimed at preventing accidents involving cyclists and persons using personal mobility devices (PMDs).During the preventive measures, settlements and adjacent roads will be targeted to prevent and suppress traffic rule violations by cyclists and persons using PMDs.Additionally, State Automobile Inspectorate officers will conduct large-scale information and awareness campaigns in work collectives of organizations and enterprises on preventing accidents involving cyclists and persons using PMDs, with particular attention paid to explaining amendments to the traffic rules and promoting the use of high-visibility reflective vests by cyclists.From March 27 to April 10, the traffic police department of the Lepel District Department of Internal Affairs will conduct a set of measures to prevent road traffic accidents involving cyclists and persons using personal mobility devices.
