A reflective strip can be tied to a sleeve or trouser leg, and a pendant can be pinned to clothing. It should hang at knee height on the roadside.

It is best to use two or more reflectors simultaneously — on the right and left sides.

We also remind you that only reflective elements of two colours — white and lemon — are certified and meet all requirements. Red, blue, green flickers are ineffective!

A flicker is a pedestrian's protector!

Are we doing everything we can to protect ourselves from road hazards? The period is approaching when the use of retroreflective elements will become an important rule for pedestrians.

To ensure your safety and the safety of your loved ones, you need to wear a flicker, and preferably more than one. You can also purchase clothing with special retroreflective elements sewn onto it. It is thanks to these that a driver of a car or other vehicle will find it much easier to see you in the dark.

When moving along an unlit road with low beam headlights, a driver will only be able to notice you at a distance of twenty-five to fifty metres. If you use a flicker, this distance will increase more than threefold.

Dear pedestrians! Make yourselves visible with a retroreflector. After all, thanks to flickers, you will protect yourselves and thereby warn drivers of your movement in the dark.

In case of detecting vulnerable road users who are in a state of intoxication, or who create prerequisites for committing a road traffic accident by their behaviour, it is necessary to immediately contact the duty service of the internal affairs department of the Lepel District Executive Committee by the following phone numbers:
