From June 9, the use of small vessels, fly fishing, float, quiver, and bottom fishing rods, crucks, zherlitsas, and stakes is permitted within the territory of the Vitebsk region. However, when fishing with one or more tackle types, the number of hooks must not exceed 5. Your surname and initials must be indicated on crucks or other similar devices. A maximum of 5 kg and one fish may be caught per day if the total catch, including its weight, exceeds 5 kg; or one fish weighing over 5 kg. The use of double and treble hooks without a spoon, natural or artificial bait is prohibited; fishing from vessels during dark hours is prohibited.
Violation of the rules entails administrative liability ranging from 20 to 50 basic units, with compensation for environmental damage caused. If the damage amounts to 100 or more basic units, criminal liability is incurred.
