As part of the second stage of the republican campaign "Safety – Into Every Home!", employees of the Lepel District Department for Emergency Situations visited the 24-hour stay department of the "Svetlitsa" territorial center for social services. The attendees were informed about recent fires, fatalities resulting from them, the dangers of smoking in bed, and trained on actions to take in case of various emergencies. In an accessible manner, rescuers explained to the elderly people the operating principle of autonomous fire alarms, how to properly maintain them, and provided examples of lives saved due to their activation. Rules for the use of electrical and gas appliances were also explained.
After watching the educational film "Safety – Into Every Home!", an evacuation plan was practiced with the residents and staff of the department, including a detailed analysis of all actions in the event of a fire.
At the end of the meeting, the amateur performance group "Sudarushki" presented a concert program, bringing positive emotions and good spirits to the attendees.
In conclusion, the Ministry of Emergency Situations staff wished everyone good health and adherence to safety rules. Active participants of the event were presented with "Safety – Into Every Home!" leaflets.
